Our First Change in Route

Like was mentioned in a previous post, the visa requirements in Indonesia took us by surprise. Its was going to cost us around 1,000,000 IDR per person (that's 200 bucks if you are keeping track!)to extend out our visa for 30 days so we can move up Java and leave from Jakarta. The train ride in Java was supposed to be an excellent way to see the rest of the country. Considering how expensive it is, we have modified our route. We are going to be leaving Ubud

a couple of days early to live in Kuta prior to catching a flight directly to Singapore! We will then be staying in Singapore in the district of china town for 3 days before we leave for Koh Lanta, an island south of the community of Krabi. There we will be staying at a beach resort for 10 days before moving on to as a yet unknown destination. The plan is to do 27 days in Thailand. The 27 days in Thailand will be 10 days beach time, 10 days culture, and 7 days in Bangkok before moving on to Cambodia.
